Program studi Linguistik SPs UPI diisi staf-staf yang memiliki keahlian mumpuni dalam bidangnya masing-masing. Seluruh ‘punggawa pengawal’ pada prodi ini merupakan lulusan doktoral, baik dari dalam maupun luar negeri. Para punggawa tersebut teridir atas (1) Guru Besar: E. Aminudin Aziz, Syihabudin, Bachrudin Musthafa, dan Didi Sukyadi, (2) Lektor Kepala: Iwa Lukmana, Aceng Ruhendi Syaifullah, Dadang Sudana (Kaprodi), Safrina Noorman, Retty Isnendes, dan Andika Dutha Bachari, (3) Lektor: Wawan Gunawan dan Eri Kurniawan.
